The BYU Alumni Association of Ventura County/Santa Barbara is sponsoring a mentoring program to help students prepare scholastically, financially, and spiritually for post-secondary education.

Seniors, have you taken your SAT/ACT?

SAT registration deadlines are fast approaching.  Juniors and Seniors that need to take the SAT/ACT need to register NOW for the October & November test dates.  

For the SAT test, you have until Sept. 9 to register for the Oct. 1 test.  You'll need the scores as you apply to the colleges of your choice.  Also, consider the subjects tests as they look good on college applications.  http://sat.collegeboard.org/home

ACT late registration is accepted until Aug. 26 for the Sept. 10, 2011, test.  The next deadline is Sept. 16 for the Oct. 22 test.  http://www.actstudent.org/regist/dates.html

You can register on either of the two websites above, or at your high school.  Fee waivers for the test may be available through your high school if needed.  Remember to have up to 4 colleges of choice when you go take your test.  The results will be sent directly there.  Email us with any questions: Mike & Crystal Jaster, BYUMentoring@gmail.com.





JUNIORS--Sign up now for the Spring SAT.  You must be registered by April 8, 2011 for the May 7 test, and register by May 10, 2011 for the June 10 test.  Here's the link,http://sat.collegeboard.com/register, or check with your high school career center.  You have the advantage if you take it in the spring--that way if you want a higher score, you can take it again in the fall.  Don't hesitate to ask for help.  Mike & I would love to answer questions or help you get registered.
